I’ve noticed this too, today after starting karaoki I seemed to have a lot of karaoke songs in red (files not being read) so I rescanned the cases, and once the scanning was complete and I was prompted “Scan new songs using ‘Naming conventions’ or ID3 tag, alot of the ID tags are not getting read correctly. I believe because of the full stop.
One other thing I would like to mention, this happens with the stable built aswell, I have commented about this before, but I’ve just figured out what’s causing the issue. When I create an M3U file, and add it to the BGM player sometimes some of the songs don’t get read, I figured out that it’s any file or song with a comma in, the BGM will miss it out. So say I Have one song in the M3U file from a folder called, Now that’s what I call, because of the ‘s it won’t read this, remove the commas it works fine.

I’ve come across a little problem with the new beta, I’ve repeated the problem over and over and it pretty much happens everytime. When using the auto pause, and pause and load next track, on the BGM player, if you load next singer in the last 10 seconds of the BGM song playing, and you hit dead air with both the end of BGM song and start of karaoke song, the BGM player will carry on playing the next song with no fade out, at the same time as the karaoke song.
Also a I have found when the BGM player fades out sometimes the slider will jump back up then back down to pause.
I’ve tried out your new release Build #0.8.5947.19455 Mar 13th 2016.
Still seem to have problems with the BGM player kicking in when a karaoke song is playing.
My setup, pause on load off, Auto Cue off, End Silence Detection 10s, End Silence Detection Level 1 Auto pause Disabled. Windows 10 on a laptop.
The problem seems to start when the BGM playlist has played all the songs once, and restarts at the beginning and the ticks turn pink. The best way to reproduce the problem is to put 4 or 5 songs in the BGM player and let them play through. Once it starts at the beginning again, towards the end of a bgm song say for eg 30 seconds, start a karaoke track, when the BGM player stops and the next BGM song starts it will kick in with full volume. Not good when you’ve got someone singing. I only found the problem when I was creating a M3U playlist with Musicbee and then adding it to the player which for some reason Karaoki only reads some of the songs on the file, I think there was around 90 tracks and it only added around 60. But that’s another little bug. Not sure if it’s Musicbee or Karaoki, so gone back to winamp to make the files.
For now I’ve gone back to the 0.8.5633 Build but keep up the good work.
Hi jocarbo, I had a similar problem I found if you go into options/video options and select or deselect Always open screen 2 in window, it controls what screen, screen 2 opens in. Hope it helps.
Hi sorry my mistake I just checked the build it was Build #0.8.5921.31595 Mar 18th 2016 which I have had the problems I described above.
Hi Tried out the Build #0.8.5911.30758 Mar 8th 2016 last night, I also still had the problem with the BGM player kicking in. It all worked great until my BGM play list run out and started replaying from the beginning I found when a karaoke track was playing, if the karaoke song was longer than two BMG tracks it would then kick in on the 2nd song.
Tried out the new build 0.8.5904 last night within the first few songs had to convert back to the previous version, the sound quality of the bgm player sounded muffled and distorted. Also the bgm player (when the auto pause is not selected and the song fades out) and background music carry’s on playing throughout the karaoke track. When a background track finishes, even if the karaoke song is still playing the bgm player will kick in playing background music automatically and with no fade in, just plays at the same time with the karaoke track. when i downgraded to the previous version the problems went. Just to check the it was nothing to do with me, tried it on another laptop and had the same problem.
