One small issue with build 5921, as compared to 5911 –

There doesn’t seem to be a way to hide the online stores from the search results anymore.

Previously, I could disable and hide all the online stores, and they wouldn’t show up during searches, making it much easier to find things during a show.

Now, even with SAT disabled and not selected, the results are still showing up in searches. And I’ve even rebuilt the search database.

I understand what you are suggesting, Meep, however VGA is not an option, as the laptop only has HDMI out.

Such is the price of “progress”

Well, i’m no expert, but I would *think* that you could edit the KJ.xml file in the C:\Users\{USER}\AppData\Local\Karaoki folder

    look for “Select-A-Track”

    you should have, at least:

    <Select-A-TrackEnable>False</Select-A-TrackEnable>
    <Select-A-TrackSearchStore>False</Select-A-TrackSearchStore>

if nothing for Select-A-Track shows up, just add those two lines right below the “<Locker” section
    that is an equivalent.

And that should keep it from searching.

(this is based on me looking at the XML after disabling SAT and Locker, prior to upgrading.)

…which begs the question – how difficult is it to add an “audio delay compensation” knob that would allow for positive or negative delay adjustments to the audio stream?

If only this mixer was still available – it looks like it would be the best interim solution.

There is a different hardware mixer (Acesonic KM-201 HDMI Karaoke Audio Mixer ) but it doesn’t have very good reviews. I’m guessing it lacks good shielding and noise elimination on the inputs and power lines, and that’s not terribly difficult to add.

So, I guess for now the Acesonic is my only option – i’m just hoping that it doesn’t add significant delay into the audio path, otherwise I’ll be really cranky about spending 80$ on effectively worthless hardware.

    Sigh.
