Keeping A Pulse On Pulselocker | iOS App Announced For Fall Launch

Pulselocker iOS App Announced

This fall you will be able to access your Pulselocker account, build playlists and listen to music on the go with your iPhone or iPad.

Pulselocker, the ‘Spotify for DJs‘ music subscription service that provide subscribers ‘in-DJ software’ access to over 44 million songs in all genres, just announced their much-anticipated iOS mobile app. While DJs will have to wait another 6-8 weeks for it to hit the app store, this is news Pulselocker subscribers can revel in.

Inspiration can strike at any time. While out-and-about town and only equipped with an iPhone a DJ may hear a track or have an experience that inspires a set list or a tweak to an existing one. Instead of taking a mental note, or if you’re the utility type you may have a pad and paper, you can open the app, access your playlists and edit or create one on the spot.

Pulselocker subscription can be used with any supported application — not just with the software/website you signed up through. I know DEX 3 and DEX 3 RE DJ software users that have subscribed to the DJ-centric music subscription have been clamoring for a way to listen to music on-the-go. They look at Pulselocker as a potential replacement for other streaming services such as Spotify or tidal, but without an app the mobile experience is sorely lacking.

Thankfully, that will change this Fall 2016.

Pulselocker gives DJs access to an up-to-date catalog of 44 + million tracks in all genres from major and independent labels from within the software’s browser. Use the website’s discovery tools to find new music, then take your tracks offline and play sets without an internet connection.

Pulselocker is the only fully legal, DJ focused service of this type, with one killer feature: Offline file playback.
