Hello there, I was trying PCDJ DEX 3.7.5. I used automix features and set IN & OUT flags for some songs. After setting flags for songs, I added all songs to automix playlist but only 10% of the songs are working fine with IN and OUT flags while most of the songs are just showing IN flag and are not showing OUT flag. Please help. Is there any bug in the software as i have already tried all possible ways ?.December 21, 2016 at 9:14 am #11261
I will test this, but we do not have any reports of this being an issue. We are also on DEX 18.104.22.168 now, so you may want to try the update. What happens if you re-set the out cue on the tracks that only show the in cue? Does it allow you to set them properly?December 21, 2016 at 9:19 am #11262
I am also seeing this issue with some songs after testing just now. I have reported to development. We plan to release an update early next week (Tuesday) and I’ll see if we can get this fixed for that update! Thank you for pointing out the issue!December 21, 2016 at 9:19 am #11263

Thanks for helping. I request you to please fix the issue as soon as possible as its Christmas and New Year time and many DJ’s and others are dependent on your software.
The software is amazing, its the best.
Thank you.December 21, 2016 at 10:41 am #11265
The out-cue fix would have to be part of our next scheduled DEX 3 update, which has multiple updates and a couple new features as well – coming Tuesday. That’s the very earliest it will come.December 27, 2016 at 10:19 am #11284
I want to know whether the out-cue issue has been fixed or not ? Update was to be be released today ie – Tuesday.
Thank youDecember 27, 2016 at 12:17 pm #11289
I haven’t received the build update yet, but we’ve only been at work a couple hours today – and we’ll all playing catch up after a 4 day weekend (for most of us, including me!).
I will update you when I hear back, still a very good chance we release an update today.December 27, 2016 at 1:27 pm #11298
Doesn’t seem we’ll get the new beta today I’m afraid, a few issues left to resolve first. Hopefully later this week however!December 28, 2016 at 8:29 am #11344
Sir, I request you to please release the update as soon as possible. Please tell me how early should I expect the update to release?
Thank youDecember 28, 2016 at 9:33 am #11345
We will release it as soon as it’s ready, which typically coincides with ‘as soon as possible’ – there are a number of upgrades in this version, including a new skin update and controller scripting upgrades, so it’s not just the out cue point fix we plan to include. Thus this isn’t a ‘quick patch’ – but still hope to release it very soon, providing we don’t run into any delays (beyond what we have already).December 28, 2016 at 10:40 am #11347
Okay, thank you for the information. Please leave a msg here when it’s ready.January 11, 2017 at 12:48 pm #11645
Weeks has been passed but no update has been released till date. Please look forward to the same.
Thank You.January 11, 2017 at 1:11 pm #11646
Yes, we won’t release it until it’s ready to be released 🙂 Again, this is a pretty major update and won’t just address the out cue point re-set issue. It’s taking longer than expected but it’s coming!October 29, 2017 at 3:54 am #15309
I updated the software to latest 22.214.171.124 but still the issue is there. IN points are set OK but OUT points or OUT flags are not set. OUT Flag is mirrored and doesn’t allow to set. Please tell if still a bug or I am doing something wrong.
Thank you.November 1, 2017 at 4:31 pm #15341
Hello, yes, this should be fixed from a few versions back actually.
After you reset the out cue or in cue, be sure to load another song to the SAME DECK. Do not load the song you reset the cue points on to the opposite deck as you won’t immediately see the change registered. Load a song to the same deck then reload the song you reset the cues on – do you see the proper reset cue positions now? Do they perform as expected?November 2, 2017 at 6:13 am #15351
I was able to add flags but still discovered a strange issue (if it’s a issue). I cann’t set the OUT flag where i want to … but after a fixed phase of song.
I have uploaded the images in which i tried to fix flag at different phases of song but able to set successfully only after reaching a fixed length or phase of song. This problem occurs to almost every 2nd song.
ThanksNovember 2, 2017 at 11:39 am #15356
I was able to open up DEX 3 and check and there shouldn’t be any problems with the CUE out point.
There is one small limitation – the out point has to be after the first half of the song, otherwise it won’t be saved – maybe this is your problem?November 3, 2017 at 12:54 am #15358
yes exactly this is the problem sir, but seriously?? a limitation like this ? this limitation will not suit most of DJ’s out there using your software as “USE OF AUTOMIX” is there only where you can set in out points so taht songs can mix automatically after certain beat or drop. Any way to remove this limitation or you can provide an option in the menu for the same.November 3, 2017 at 11:27 am #15359
Generally speaking, the vast majority of DJs using Automix with DEX 3 are mobile DJs (wedding Djs etc) – so they are going to set the out cue near or at the end of the song, not before the half point. Considering this is actually the first time I’ve had someone take issue with this functionality, through the forum or support ticketing system, I think users of DEX 3 have been quite satisfied with how it has worked for the last couple of years. DJs that create mix sets, blending tracks throughout their mix on beat or harmonically, typically never use Automix.
There is probably a technical reason it’s done this way ala having to set the out cue after the half point of the track. It may be due to our unique buffering method and custom sound engine. But I’ll definitely make the suggestion to see if it can be altered/updated in a future DEX 3 release (where you can place the mix out point before the half point). All updates are free.
I’ve personally reset the out cue on tracks quite a bit for use with automix but never once have tried before the half point or I would have already been aware of how this worked. Development had to confirm the limitation before I responded to your inquiry yesterday or I likely would have never known!December 3, 2017 at 2:52 am #15776
I was waiting for the update quite a-long, it has been released but the above “half point” restriction is still present. I too am a mobile DJ and seriously we need that thing to let us mark OUT cue before half point. Please help as its wedding season here in India and also close to New Year so please i request to remove that limitation or restriction.
Thank You Ryan & TeamDecember 4, 2017 at 11:50 am #15796
Yes, I have submitted this request, but it’s very low on our ‘to-do’ list. I don’t suspect it will be done in the planned update for this month (December). Also, to my knowledge you’re the only one to request this change so far. So as you can imagine we need to prioritize things based on a few items, and number of requests is one of them. There may also be some technical limitations or reasons why it was done the way it has been done (I do believe this is the case)…and when we’re completely finished with the core audio engine re-write of DEX 3, which has been slowly rolled out in each update over the last few months, it may be more feasible.
I’ll try to keep you posted but I may not have much more data for you until it’s done (if it’s done).
